About The Position

We are looking to hire an IT Systems Administrator for our UK office. This is a great opportunity for someone to act as the primary helpdesk support resource in the UK supporting end user computing needs for our fantastic employees. This is a sole and newly created role that make a real difference to the organisation and holds real opportunity for someone keen to develop existing knowledge/ skills as this role could also easily grow to support Cloud administration. For the right person there is scope to work with AWS, Azure and also support aspects of information security.

Responsibilities
  • To support the end user experience for the UK based team with all aspects of technical equipment
  • Resolve ongoing end user issues in a timely and creative manner
  • Be responsible for managing end user systems day to day
  • Maintain an inventory of those end user systems
  • Consider and devise an overall inventory of hardware and systems required for the UK team to perform their roles effectively
  • Maintain IT servers, directory configuration, security, and backups
  • Assist in the investigation and implementation of new tools that improve the existing infrastructure
  • Assist with onboarding and off boarding processes including configuration of laptops and shipping of hardware across the UK to meet new joiner start dates
  • Maintain that configuration (including policies, patching baselines, and applications), provision and deployment of company-issued laptops, identifying areas for improvement and automatization
  • Identifying areas for improvement based on Cloud Operations best practices
  • Maintain the currently deployed Cloud Architecture for each of the Company’s Departments
  • Assist in the implementation of development, testing, and production environments for the Product Team
  • Assist in planning, designing, and implementing improvements in the environments for each of the Company’s Departments
Skills
  • Previous experience of working on an IT Helpdesk supporting end-users is critical
  • Related technical education background or equivalent
  • Strong interpersonal skills, must be fluent in spoken and written English
  • Active Directory, Azure Active Directory Management and AWS Knowledge ideal but not essential
