Job Role

The Instructional Designer will report to the Manager, Product Enablement as part of Redwood University. This role is highly collaborative and you will work closely with the Redwood University team, leadership, key stakeholders, and subject matter experts (SMEs) to create training programs that encompass different delivery formats, including eLearning, hands-on exercises, live web-based learning, blended solutions, training guides, workbooks and certification exams. Strong business understanding, along with strong interpersonal and written communication skills are required to effectively design, develop, and deliver customer focused learning programs. The ability to assess customers, learners and business needs and propose effective, relevant, and engaging training curriculum and content is critical. The ability to focus on customer satisfaction and meeting business outcomes is crucial to the role.

Responsibilities
  • Understands business/product objectives and recommends effective learning solutions to meet business goals, enhance learning effectiveness and increase satisfaction
  • Participates and contributes to the development and implementation of curriculum and content development strategies, plans and processes
  • Manages training projects, participates in learning needs analysis, curriculum mapping, design, writing, development, testing, implementation, and evaluation of all training materials
Skills
  • BS, MA or MS degree in Instructional Design, Educational Technology or similar
  • 5-7 years of Instructional Design experience in a corporate training environment; Experience with similar industry and customer-facing, software product training preferable
  • Demonstrated knowledge of applied adult learning theory, instructional design, assessments, and learning management system capabilities (Adobe Prime)
