The Redwood Active SLA Module captures data for currently executing workload and compares it against historical data for the same suite of tasks. You can use this combined information to assess any potential impact on process completion times. Because the module continually runs as a background process, each defined SLA is constantly monitored. All deviations are flagged, automatically assessed and potential SLA exceptions raised until the process successfully completes.
The SLA module can manage any number of dependent and independent tasks for almost any process situation. It can monitor process chains transparently and dynamically to measure current process execution. As soon as the module determines that an upcoming SLA will not be met, it immediately raises an event and can initiate corrective actions such as increasing resources or 'throttling' less critical processes. It also sends alerts to users via email, SNMP or other means.
