FPA Process Monitoring
Track the close in real time
The Process Monitoring capability of Redwood’s Financial Process Automation solution provides a comprehensive view of automated and manual financial closing processes.
Better Collaboration for Better Results
With separate interactive graphical views for business users and IT users, Process Monitoring enables improved communication, simplified tracking of important milestones, and better collaboration between users. Users have greater visibility into the processes they are responsible for, and can monitor the status of all task interdependencies between groups during the close. This eliminates the need for sending numerous emails and voicemails to obtain task status from individuals involved in the close.
Business User View
The Business User View provides the status, description, progress, start and end times, and duration for each task in a process, enabling real-time tracking of closing milestones. Users can track the close from their desktop and receive alerts and notifications via the Web, email, or even on their iPhone. Process Monitoring enables higher productivity and agility for the Finance department. It can replace the cumbersome spreadsheets traditionally used to track closing tasks manually since it is available for online viewing and in archived format for record-keeping purposes.
IT User View
A more detailed and technical view of closing process tasks is provided for IT administrators who manage the IT tasks involved in the period-end close. IT users have an interactive process view and can manage job and system performance to control and monitor the close. Tasks can be started, stopped, and restarted from the IT User View.
Greater Visibility and Efficiency
Process Monitoring provides actionable information, enabling all stakeholders to track the financial close. It fosters better communication and collaboration between teams and provides an up-to-the-minute view of the progress of important milestones in the closing process. So unnecessary delays can be avoided and problems can be corrected quickly to improve the overall speed and reliability of the close.
