Job Purpose

A Senior Level Consultant for Redwood you will be responsible for providing technical support and sales expertise in post sales situations within NA Operations. The Consultant is responsible for formulating technical strategies and tactics in support of Redwood Software products and services and functioning as an integral part of the NA team. Works under minimal supervision on assigned projects subject to review upon completion to ensure compliance with objectives and policies

Responsibilities

  • Technically qualifies and helps close services opportunities.
  • Identifies and communicates technical and business problems
  • Communicate competitive product differentiators
  • Positions proposed solution to technical, operations, and management staff, including:
    • Present technical proposal content
    • Create and present custom non-warranted modifications of core products as agreed in a customer requirements definition document.
    • Meet customer acceptance criteria, e.g., performance functionality.
  • Mentor other consultants in their roles.
  • Ensures customer satisfaction within customer accounts.
  • Assists customers with installation, configuration, and use of core and near-core products.
  • Actively participate in the resolution of customer issues as directed
  • Identify business issues and play a strategic role in business development.
  • Articulate business benefits and develop technical strategies.
  • Travel to customer, partners, and Redwood Software sites as necessary.
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as necessary and assigned
  • Works on a wide range of problems of diverse scope and complexity where analysis of data and/or situations requires evaluation of various factors.
  • Exercises judgment within established practices to determine appropriate action
  • A Senior Consultant acts as liaison on specific projects between departments, functional areas and/or customers and the consultants interactions involve matters of importance where creating and maintaining affective working
  • Education: A minimum of a Bachelors degree in applicable discipline or equivalent experience required

Skills and Experience

  • 5 years of post sales consulting with in Fortune 1000 companies
  • Solid experience in consulting, development, training, installation, and testing.
  • Proficient in working as Software Engineer, Data Base Developer, DBA, Consultant, Developer, and Trainer.
  • Experience with PL/SQL, SQL and JAVA
  • UNIX and Windows platforms, and LINUX
  • Working experience with SAP modules especially FI
  • Extensive experience working with Web Application development, Web Sites, HTML and Java Scripting
  • Experience with Systems Management Software and Job Scheduling
  • Experience working with IIS, Apache and Websphere
  • 75% travel - domestically and internationally with a valid Passport
  • Excellent Communicator and command of the English language
  • Collaborative team player
  • Must be a US citizen or hold a Green Card
